Euro Truck Simulator 2 for PC

The game is developed and published by the team behind SCS Software. The company founded in 1997, headquartered in the Czech Republic, has some history behind simulators: 18 Wheels of Steel series with its 8 titles, Euro Truck Simulator.

As the name suggests, the game is in the category of simulators, a category that is not “tasted” by all gamers. The game hasn’t a storyline itself, but tells you the story of a common truck driver at the beginning that is trying to make his own transport company.

The game is optimized for the 3 popular ways to control games with cars. Being a simulator, the wheel steering is prominently. There are all possible settings for that experience to be as close to reality.

Another way of control is mouse steering (the way I use), the direction is controlled by mouse movements left and right. Many do not get used with this option, so they will return to the traditional keyboard.

For starters, in the game the player will be paid to drive the truck from point A to point B. After a few races, the bank intervenes, offering the possibility of a loan for the first truck.

In the game there are present the most well-known brands from Europe: Scania, Volvo, Renault, Daf, Iveco and the Majestic (Mercedes did not accept the license for the game, unfortunately). The player can also buy garages, besides trucks, and these can be upgraded to a higher capacity. You will be able to hire drivers and you can impose them to develop a specific skill (ADR, Long Drives, etc).

The rewarding system is based on money and skill points, which are awarded depending on the distance of the route, the degree of damage accumulated, the total time of the route. Skill points go on different abilities: long distance, ADR, high value cargo, fragile cargo, just-in-time delivery, eco-driving.

Like the original Euro Truck Simulator, the second game of the series enjoy regular official updates, and a great community support.

In the game we don’t have ambient music, instead we can make a folder we our personal favorite tunes, or listen to radios across Europe. It is also possible to set the intensity of the brake, the probability of rain and more.

In terms of graphic, the game looks good, not exceptional, and it is optimized enough, so everyone can enjoy the game, even if they have weak specs on their computer.

In conclusion, the game is a good one, a great simulator game and if you are a fan of this genre, it is a must play.
